Learning foreign languages is one of my many hobbies. Thus I’m often keen for a dive into the worlds of words and many meaning… I love it that in each of the languages I know; English & Spanish with native proficiency; German is the language I acquired as an adult. I began to study in my mid twenties; when my German national Big Scientist future and current, one and only, husband proposed.
It enriches a life tremendously to have languages to choose from! Ask my friend, Constantine Finehouse, the Russian concert Pianist and I met when we were students at Columbia University, actually he was at Juilliard, but… we were both in this class. I was taking “Advance Spanish Grammar,” to place out of the language requirement and graduate with a bachelor of arts from the beloved Alma Mater. He speaks at least four, perhaps five languages, with a dexterity only explained by a nibble mind to match flying fingers and real technical prowess at the keyboard, geez I listen to his CD with Cello player,
almost daily.
