Departure. Frau Kolb is on her way back to Los Angeles. Last night, at the Hyperallergenic 3rd Anniversary party, Frau Kolb and Brian Goings explored their new relationship as collaborators. This new friendship was put to the test by Frau’s famously outrageous dance moves. IF you have seen Frau Kolb shake her booty, rolling on the floor, high-kicking from the ground, deliberately NUTS. Systematically taking UP mental real-estate. Drilling the image of her inhibition into the minds of the impressionable. Yeah... you know, what I’m talking about… Besides you would have to be shy or otherwise impaired NOT to let it ALL HANG OUT inside Andrew Ohanesian’s “The House Party” with DJ, THE WIG, firmly in control of the super deep sonic paradise of music to make you roll it OUT. This visit to The Pierigo Boiler Room in Williamsburg Brooklyn was preceded by a trip to the Pink Pony, on Ludlow, next to Max Fish, with the always game, eternally sexy, artist JUDY RIFKA!
Frau Kolb wept for freakin'’ joy to meet the amazing RIFKA. They hit it OFF sharing escargots and other slightly decadent treats with pal Goings in attendance. Yeah....
We tried to make it to the Noah Becker event. Unfortunately, we failed to pull ourselves away from the delights of the hypertalented artist's, Judy Rifka's, arms in time to make Noah's event. Next time!
However, team GRID achieved other goals. Frau Kolb crammed as much fun as could be had in a short trip, to the famed isle of Manhattan and her beautiful raucous sister across da water way, while learning and growing in certainty that contemporary artists are constantly arriving at their own hard chiseled yet fluid definitions of greatness.
