Thank you, Daniel Maidman for inviting me over for a day of creation. Posing nude, well I was wearing my Frau Kolb hat from Germany, which I bought near Orchard street before visiting The Bridge Gallery and Leslie Heller with artist, art seer, Kathy Goodell. Before meeting up with the exciting, the compelling, the sometimes shocking: Ola Mañana. The facing of fears, overcoming doubt, and showing up for ART, again and again. Taking risks, is central to an active and lively art practice. Advancing in knowledge through experiencing collaboration and creative roles previously untried. Yeah!
Fortunately, Maidman is a total gentleman. We expected that he would be after meeting him earlier this year for an interview that may serve as footage for a longer Frau Kolb documentary… perhaps…. He walked the fine line of making Frau feel beautiful without feeling the yicky/uncomfortable. Super talented, Maidman, immediately cracked out powerful images: photographic, drawn, and sketched. The experience of playing nude muse to an artist's nibble hands is entirely new to Frau Kolb. She was an art model, nudity, virgin before this Thursday. Hah!
